I created a .abc file with two vocal lines. In the past there has been no issue when pressing the 'play' button, both vocal lines playing perfectly. Now there's no sound at all and it doesn't stop playing, the 'pause' being visible all the time, until 'stop' is pressed. A version of the file with melody only plays just fine.

I'm running version 1.3.8.7 in Windows 11.

The following is my coding:

Put the V:H and V:M in square brackets, like this:
    [V:H] A2 c2 | A2 Gc | B3/ A/ G (A/B/) | A2 z2 |
    See https://abcnotation.com/wiki/abc:standard:v2.1#multiple_voices

Thanks Dave. I realised that I hadn't done that. It works perfectly now.

Other solution would be to end line just after the voice definition

    so either
    [V:H] A2 c2 | A2 Gc | B3/ A/ G (A/B/) | A2 z2 |
    or

    V:H
    A2 c2 | A2 Gc | B3/ A/ G (A/B/) | A2 z2 |
