After attempting to play the tune, click on the internals/messages menu button to get
more information. Also check the message box when the program is running normally
like displaying the score of a selected tune.

it is today's instalation of abc so i do not know what is "normally".
In the cache are these files - see pic.
abc2midi appears to be running normally. I do not know what is causing the problem.
You could try doing a cold restart (Go to Settings menu.) If this does not help, uninstall
easyABC and regress to an older version.

You would need to install fluidsynth. The same kind of error is raised on Mac since the default media player from wxPython (library used by EasyABC) do not support MIDI.
Maybe some kind of similar issue on Windows.
