#33 musicxml import failure
Running EasyABC 1.3.7.7 on Manjaro Linux and can't import musicxml files. I click on "Import and add" and select an mxl or xml file (tried both) but nothing gets inserted. If I run xml2abc from command line then copy/paste the result into EasyABC that works, but it would be much more convenient to import directly into EasyABC.
Please open the internals/messages window, then try to import the musicxml file. Report any
anomalies you see in the messages window. If this does not resolve your problem, send
me a copy of the file as an attachment to my email address fy733@ncf.ca. -Seymour
Solved ... with some very patient guidance from Seymour! Turned out I have two versions of Python on my Linux computer, and the problem was solved by launching EasyAbc with Python2.7 rather than Python3.
