Somewhat off-topic but be aware Amazon is moving towards using the "Elastic Network Adapter": https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2016/06/introducing-elastic-network-adapter-ena-the-next-generation-network-interface-for-ec2-instances/ Limited instance type support so far but as they said back in June, be prepared for it to move to other instance types.
