Hello Todd,
I was able to resolve the issue by recompiling the kernel with the following completely turned off (and all sub-options also off):

Last 24 hours I have not seen any of the interface reset even once ( I can finally get some sleep :-) )
The appliance is a Core-i5-2400 CPU, with a custom board and 6 X 82583V. Dmesg of the appliance with 2.6.34 kernel with ACPI compiled in the kernel, but turned off via kernel command line:
