    Hi!

The GOG version of Beyond Good and Evil (2003) seems to have Alt+Tab support disabled, which I'm trying to re-enable using DxWnd.

The results are really inconsistent and doesn't work properly most of the time, either with "Hook GOG libs" or "Bypass GOG libs" along with "Disable "disable Alt-Tab". Even when it decides to work then all other keyboard input in the game stops working so it's unplayable. Can you fix this?

I'll try, though having two hookers (DxWnd and GOG) working together is not always so easy....
    Stay tuned.

I checked the situation on my Win10 64bit, but hooking the game BGE.exe with default options (none of those you mentioned) seems to work fine, allowing Alt-tabs to activate other programs and semi-pausing the BGE game (very strange, movies and the action stops, but some cyclic animations like moving leafs on a tree keep running....).
Can you be more specific about the problems?

That's strange... Alt+Tabbing the game isn't working by default on my system, and there's other reports of it being disabled too: https://www.gog.com/forum/beyond_good_and_evil/cannot_alttab/page1 But none of the suggested workarounds helped.

DxWnd seems to partially work around the issue, i.e. there's like a 1/3 chance that Alt+Tab is possible, but then none of the keys work properly in-game.. so I thought DxWnd may not be working properly. Anything else I can try?

That GOG forum mentions that it includes custom ACT fixes in "gog_beyond_good_and_evil.sdb".

So you could try renaming the game executable "BGE.exe" to something else like "BGE_2.exe". This should disable the custom fixes and maybe enable alt-tabing again.

You're right, renaming the executable worked for me. I forgot about that fix which also works for Darksiders on GOG. Thanks a lot!
