- Preview DVD structure with 'mplayerc path /dvd /fullscreen /play /close' including Mplayer Classic on installing package.
- Replace internal transcode with external programs (mencoder, ffmpeg, aften, etc) optimized for detecting processor capabilities and using it. (Faster transcoding)
- Calculate the audio and video bitrate to fit on a blank DVD, even when we include a total of videos that exceed the standard duration, lowering the bitrates. Yes, i know, it is not recommended but like some DVD Shrinker programs, can be included a Warning about it.
- A DVD Structure and DVD Image burning option, to let burning previously created DVDs.
- An option on the 'Video Object' properties to allow inserting subtitles on the video.

- calculation of bitrate added in DVDStyler 1.7.4
- insert of subtitles in title properties dialog implemented in DVDStyler 1.7.4
