See this thread where I've tried to get help for this issue.
AVI files 1 hour or less will load into DVD Styler using chapter templates. WMV files of 2 1/2 hours will load into DVD Styler using chapter templates. AVI files 2 hours or longer will NOT load into DVD Styler using chapter templates. I can remove the chapter menu and the AVI file will load but I cannot then add chapter menus back in. With a 2 1/2 hour movie, I'd like to have the option of being able to select chapters!
Note: WMV won't create in DVD Styler since having to install the 2008 TV Pack for Vista. Microsoft switched WMC provider several months ago and, as Vista is no longer supported, didn't bother to provide any sort of upgrade for Vista to work with the new system. It was discovered that the never supported TV Pack allowed Vista users to continue using WMC but the output extention is different. I can edit it with Windows editor and it has the WMV extention, but it is different enough that DVD Styler will not create with it. Thus, I am having to use AVI.
Please get back to me regarding this. Thank you.
So, this is how support is handled? I'm reporting a bug with DVDStyler and no one is getting back to me on it?
I've been using DVDStyler for years - many years - and can remember when you could count on Mr. Thuering to poke his nose in. At least you would get someone who would talk to you about the problem in a way that you knew they were trying to pinpoint what the problem might be to fix it.
Sure would be nice if someone would let me know what was being done to correct this or if there was any additional information they needed from me. Instead I'm getting responses on the "regular" forum that are ridiculous and require using other programs, etc., and have no relevance to the actual problem.
