Fixed in DVDStyler 2.7.1 (dmg package):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdstyler/files/dvdstyler/2.7.1/DVDStyler-2.7.1-MacOSX.dmg

Yes, files are now associated, thank you!
However, also opening another bug for a file-open issue on Mac:
