One use I have made of them is for authoring "mixed angle" DVDs. You need to place a marker at the front and end of the mixed angle video clips. You can use chapter markers if they exist but there is a limit of 99 of those and you might not want a "chapter" at all the points the angles begin and end. So, you put "cell markers" instead of "chapter markers" at those locations. There are other uses I think but I haven't gotten into those (yet ;)). Cheers, Steven Schultz |
