Hi everyone,
I just stumbled on this project and this brings back great memories.

It also gave me an idea. Are you aware of AIChallenge.org? It is a website hosted by the university of Waterloo in Canada and they have held a few game AI competitions. Give a look to ants.aichallenge.org, their latest challenge.

Basically, it involved N bots, each controlling a bunch of ants on a (x,y) grid. Basically a very basic RTS if you will, with food collection and combat. The server would provide the bots with the coordinate of the friendly ants, the visible enemy ants and the visible food items. The bots could be programmed in any language and would return the orders sent to each friendly ants. Bots would have up to 1 second to return their orders.

Is there any way this concept could be applied to Dune Legacy?

Cheers!
