CK CHIA - 2003-04-04

recently my nomad xr4000 lower system hard disk crash. i replaced a new hard disk. install linux kernel 2.0.35. Untar xrdev-xr4000-i386.. and robot-device ...   install- arcnet and install- system as according to the install procedure given, but not able to get the xr4000 working properly. The sonar system kept firing non stop even after initialisation of motor controller completed. The 'RED' off not able to shutdown the operating system. There must be something that i done incorrectly, could someone
please advise
