first of all..
i got to say..your all in one for rtl sdr was a life saver for me...
im new to raspberry pi4, and new on linux....
i try ubuntu 20.4 clean install and try to run sdrtrunk but it never worked for me...
so its working now..keep the good work ;-)
i do have a question about the gui of the distro you made...
its not really look like a 20.4 ubunto...lots of tools are missing from menu..
also..i can see few profiles or users when i just started after install...
the screen is not full, but i dont know where to change it from..
regular ubunto or rasbian buster will ask you profile name and screen setup upon login...
can it be changed?
can i try other distros you have like focal or 10 version on my pi4?
i need something that will work....
sorry for all this issues...im new to this..and i found you as a proffesional ;-)

Hello, thank you for the kind words.

For the Raspberry Pi DragonOS, I was unable to make it into an installer like you normally see for Ubuntu on a laptop. It is actually all based on the 20.04 aarch64 Ubuntu server edition for the Pi with a lubuntu like desktop environment.

The profile that you see, called ubuntu with password dragon is the default very similiar to how the pi image used to be with pi/raspberry. You can change this user however you like, change password, create new users etc. The user is only there to get you started.

DragonOS Pi64 is the only version of DragonOS that works on the Pi. All other versions are meant for a x64 based PC or x64 small board computer like the intel NUC or Latte Panda.

Some functions are slightly differnet then the standard rasbian distro so i left a readme on the desktop that explains how to expand the SD card after install and setup various other things.

The tools I focused on including where all SDR based. There's lot available too in the /usr/src directory of the Pi image.

I'm not sure what you mean about the screen not being full. Are you using some sort of Pi screen and not a normal HDMI monitor? It could be that some settings are not correct for your monitor. Can you please share the screen details?

    Hope to help.

i use my desktop monitor 23inch samsung via hdmi..
i ment i dont see full frame end to end layout on my screen..is like i can see the edges..
not sure how i can fix this..
did not see any settings for this..
if i install clean ubuntu or rasbian on my pi i will get to a first setup that asks if you see the full screen and if not so the system will fix this after reboot...
also i dont know how to change the pcb photo of startup menu..
    is it possible?
not sure which settings menu to go...
i'm a new to linux programing..and i just got my new pi4 so im sorry for this questions to you...
which os is the best for me to use if not dragon os for my pi to run sdr++, sdrtrunk, cubiqsdr..etc.....?
is it ubuntu desktop? rasbian buster or any other distro?

You may be able to try one of the following things,

    Open a terminal and type
    sudo raspi-config
Use the screen options and see if it helps change the settings.

You can also click the little bird looking icon bottom left, go to prefences, lxqt settings, then monitor settings.

As for a pi distro that has sdr++, sdrtrunk and more, I don't know of one that has everything although you can also take a look at PiSDR. That's a good one, but I belive it's 32bit based.

Other then that, you will most likely have to build a custom one yourself and in some cases manually compiling programs and needed packages as a lot of the applications are not a simple apt get install. There's a lot of work already taken care of with things like DragonOS Pi64 and PiSDR, but to customize it further may take some getting used to.

Also for the startup menu. You may have to use this application as i believe it was what i used to first change the gdm3 login background.

    https://github.com/thiggy01/change-gdm-background

I've also seen from time to time that upgrading gdm3 will revert the background to default.

thank you for your time here...
for now i will keep using your dragon pi os..its the easy way to run all this sdr apps out there!
but what is your sugestion on which os is better to use for sdrtrunk and sdr++?
a clean ubuntu desktop or another standard os?
i try ubuntu with sdrtrunk but never got it to run after compile...
not sure...maybe the ubuntu desktop is not good for this...
i do like the gui though...
    its simple to view...

    hi,
First of all my warm thanks for this wonderful gift which is DragonOS. Just a knob question and forgive me if it was asked( and answered) many times, can DragonOS PI 64 works fine on a Raspberry 3B?
