It is a very lengthy process that I’ve not begun yet. 24.04 is supported for years still, but yes I’m excited to look at a newer build and what all Ubuntu (Lubutnu) has decided to do. That’s great news! Does it end up becoming a kernel module? That’s the one issue I have even with LimeSDR.you get if going once, then a massive kernel update comes along and break it all again. I mainly held it back as part of the install process, but if you already have the install finished you should be fine. You’ll want to build it from source and thank you for the reminder to rebuild it. Installing gnuradio and uhd from apt will kill most everything using gnuradio and libuhd as I had built both from source. I’ll add that to the list of getting fixed. I may even be able to build trunk recorder and put it on my PPA so you can use apt to install it. I REALLY need to sit down and do another pi image and try to knock out all these additions. I’ve seen some other things I need to address to, might take me a bit but I will plan to do this. The kernel changed in such a way that the LimeSDR PCIe drivers no longer compile against it on their own with dkms. For this reason I may need to no longer ship with the driver. In Noble R9 I manually fixed it with the kernel upgrade, but it would appear it’s happening again. It shouldn’t harm anything else and as long as you don’t need the limepci driver it could be uninstalled. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I suspect related to lime dkms driver? I’ve built a new iso I need to release that updates the dkms driver and comes with the new kernel, should have it uploaded soon.
