Hi
As we can't install wine, i use a wine appimage (https://github.com/mmtrt/WINE_AppImage) to use VARA and Winlink but i have a mistake. Everthing is ok but if i chose the com port or the CAT, there is a crash of the Appimage with this error :
0124:err:environ:init_peb starting L"C:\\windows\\syswow64\\winedbg.exe" in experimental wow64 mode
Do you know what can i do for that or there is a update to make a wine installation ? I'm really need to have VARA and Winlink and i don't want to put windows on dualboot only for that ..
Thanks for your help

There’s two other wine appimage projects I can think of, for now can you try the appimage here? (32bit I think)

Thanks for reply
I test the 2 other AppImage but the problem is the same. I think there is a mistake with the libxml2 , the same lib who make wine installation non permit. I'll try tomorrow whith a clean DragonOS installation to test and i'll make a feedback here.

Can you point me to vara?
Is it this here?

I’d like to see if it’s possible to run native in Linux.

It seems like there’s info here but also seems to require a login to get to the details

Hi
The new version of VARA isn't tested for the moment, i use this version : https://rosmodem.wordpress.com/
Maybe try this link for the Vara group : https://file.io/2cw410ZLnkw7

Just following up, I started trying to run the VARA HF v4.8.7 (High Performance HF Modem) but I've yet to have it run at all yet, is that the one you're trying to run?
