With the 0.74 version from Debian Dosbox crashes when running the game Ascendancy (you can download it from abandonia).
On amd64 with the default cpu. It works with cpu=simple, and it used to work in the past, perhaps with older dosbox versions

DOSBox switched to max cycles, because of the setting: cycles=auto. If the game runs too fast try a fixed cycles amount in DOSBox's options.
