DoomLegacy 1.44 has extensive changes to support 64 bit, endian (like Mac big-endian), and MacOSX porting. There were many 64 bit bugs in the old code. We do not have any active members with a Mac and so cannot test this, nor compile any binaries.
Are you compiling from source ??
I have been agitating for the source code to be released as an download package but I do not see one yet.
It would help us and you if you would go to the legacy144 SVN repository, download a copy and test it.
Goto Legacy page on SourceForge.net, select CODE from the menu, select SVN BROUSE, select legacy_one, and get the GNU tarball (bottom of page).
If you look in trunk you can see all the individual files and directories.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:

Based on support from Gibbon.
