The convention for all PC software is to treat the
keypad (the rightmost part of the keyboard) as
directional arrows when the numlock light is OFF. (All
keys should be processed according to their sub-sign) 7
> home 8 > ^ 9 > pgUp etc....

When configuring the keyboard, I noticed that even with
numlock OFF the system configured the "walk forward" to
8....

Generally the kepad is better than the arrows because
the 5 (which is not remapped) lets you load the rocket
launcher immediately, it also makes the pageup/down
keys convenient to your ring finger...

The current behavior is flat out BAD...

I had commented on this a while ago but it was ignored. =(
