#7 Language support problem crippling software - Unusable

Hi.
I am a 3d artist and compositor and a long time DJV user
I love the product and used to have used it every day, however.
I recently started working at a graphics design studio that is not accustomed to 3d animation workflows and has a folder systems with many Hebrew file and folder names.

DJV doesn’t seem to be able to handle this. Hebrew names appears as ?????? and do not open
(example attached), Sequences are not recognized and nothing seems to be working.
I would love to be able to keep using DJV but changing the language on the files system is simply impossible since the Hebrew naming runs through the entire network.
Is it possible to include language support for the product?

I've been dealing with this problem for a while, but decided to post a bug today on the tracker. Good thing I poked around and found your post! Yes, DJV is not opening media when either the filename or the pathname has "unrecognized characters". This is the same for Japanese, much like your Hebrew problem.

Please resolve this issue! This is a show-stopper for users who use different character sets in their OS.

Sorry for the very late reply! After an absence I am working on DJV again and will try and address this in the next version, there is also a similar bug report here:
