You will have 2 files and 4 checksums, and then ?? Sorry I don't understand. For me the main advantage of dirssync is not that he's comparing files, he's taking decesion to replace one of the two. Checksum will be a way to detect that 2 files are different, but we must decide which one will replace the other one. For that point we will decide on modification time ...
