I try to translate program into french. I have to create a lang_fr_FR.properties but is it really necessary to translate ALL strings (debug and developement errors messages) in native language ? Can we translate user strings like menu, label, etc only and leave system message in english ?

Well is not necesary, But thinking as a user would you like to receive an error and dont know what happend because is in a different language ?
Maybe you can send me what you have so far, i will use a transalator for the system messages.
