Maybe pcmcia-cs should be compiled, then hostap, then pcmcia-cs AGAIN?
(just guessing, FWIW :)

No problem.  I'll let you fix it.  Keep in mind what I've done so far,
and feel free to undo anything I shouldn't have done.  :-)
