Hm... Very strange... Peter, I need more info. Please send me (not in the list due to the message size) - /boot/grub/grub.conf from your _hard drive/flash_ - /boot/initrd.gz from your _hard drive/flash_ Have you chosen "modify initrd" options while DL installation to hard drive? If not, please reinstall DL and choose it (the size of initrd will be significantly decreased). Thank you, -- Serge |

Peter, I have found the version 1.2.6 to be the best in our environment. Both OpenVPN, and IP/VPN (IPSec). They are very compatible and rock solid. Perfect I will wait a couple of days. I realy like to build a new firewall with a 2.6 kernel. At the moment I have problems with ipsec between 1.2.14-2007-05-24 and 1.2.14. ipsec version Openswan 2.4.6 and strongSwan 2.8.6. Sometimes a get strange kernel messages (kernel_alg_db_add() key_len not in range) and the tunnels are instable. The problems started when I moved to a new location and update the old firewall for a new one with 1.2.14. Before that everting was 100% ok. Hi Björn, I'm sorry, I was busy with my relocation to USA (business trip). Well, you can help me with discussion of the following task. File "net/scripts/functions" contains paths to several utilities, I've put some strings below: DEFAULT_IFPLUGSTATUS=/usr/sbin/ifplugstatus DEFAULT_IFPLUGD=/usr/sbin/ifplugd DEFAULT_IWPRIV=/sbin/iwpriv DEFAULT_IWCONFIG=/sbin/iwconfig DEFAULT_WPA_SUPPLICANT=/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant DEFAULT_WPA_CLI=/usr/sbin/wpa_cli DEFAULT_PLIPCONFIG=/sbin/plipconfig DEFAULT_VCONFIG=/usr/bin/vconfig DEFAULT_IPSECADM=/usr/sbin/ipsecadm DEFAULT_IFENSLAVE=/sbin/ifenslave DEFAULT_TUNCTL=/usr/sbin/tunctl DEFAULT_BRCTL=/usr/sbin/brctl DEFAULT_ETHTOOL=/usr/sbin/ethtool DEFAULT_PPPD=/usr/sbin/pppd DEFAULT_CHAT=/usr/sbin/chat For DL we have to write something for verification and modifying such information. I made bash script for this job, but it was ugly. Perl script was better a bit, but was not an elegant as well. Now I'm thinking about autoconf or about bash script returning. :-) So, I'll be glad to hear your opinion about -- Serge Rudner, Björn wrote: > Hi serge > Is there any point i might try to help you with? > > Cheers > Björn > |

I'm not sure if it still works and you most likely will need to update the alsa software itself. Other then that you'll just have to compile your own version of DL and select the alsa stuff in "make menuconfig" -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |
