This email is to inform you about the release of version '4.0d' of 'sed' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/sed/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release includes the same bugfixes that are in sed 4.0.9. Also, the POSIXLY_CORRECT environment variable now only disables incompatible GNU extensions, and a separate --posix option disables all of them. In --posix and POSIXLY_CORRECT mode, [\n] now matches the two characters "backslash" and "n" instead of a newline. Project description: Sed, the GNU Stream Editor, copies the named files (standard input default) to the standard output, edited according to a script of commands. Trove categories: [Environment ] Console (Text Based) [Intended Audience ] End Users/Desktop [License ] OSI Approved :: GNU General Public License (GPL) [Topic ] Utilities If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/sed/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release includes a slightly faster regular expression matcher, fixes a bug in the "0" address when the -i and -s options are used, and updates the terminology of the documentation to be consistent with POSIX. Project description: Sed, the GNU Stream Editor, copies the named files (standard input default) to the standard output, edited according to a script of commands. > Reading a different mailing list, I ran across this: > > http://www.cwlinux.com/eng/products/products_ide2cf.php > > Is this what we need for putting DL on a IDE CF drive? > > - BS Yes, I bought something very similar from ACS Control in FL (USA): <http://www.acscontrol.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=ACS&Category_Code=COMPACT_FLASH> The CF spec calls for all CF cards to support native IDE mode so the adapter is little more than some connecters and LEDs. FYI, the compatibility varies somewhat with the CF vendor. None support DMA as far I know. Many won't work on the same cable with a hard disk or CDROM. I've had good luck with the older Sandisk Industrial Grade CF cards, but a newer one with a new contoller chip crapped out, started reporting it supports UDMA2 (which is doesn't) and thus hanging the boot. Stills works in my USB CF card read though. I've yet to find one which supports write-protect. Tim |

I was testing out some more changes I mind and was hoping to submit a new patch but my build machine is misbehaving, seems to be a well documented issue with APIC on nForce2 motherboards:(( Causes it to lockup when there is a lot of interrupts like IDE r/w during a big build #@$!@$%$#%. Anyhow thanks for fixing and including it! Tim |
