#1642 ROMs with .gba extension not working

Desmume does not show ROMs with the .gba extension in its explorer when I try to OPEN a ROM. When I drag my ROM into the Desmume window, it shows a warning message that says ' The rom header is invalid. The device size has been increased to allow for the provided file size'. This is followed by an error message that says 'Loading "xyz.gba" failed.

I know the ROM isn't corrupt because it worked in Desmume before and still does in another emulator.
Can you please help?

DeSmuME is an NDS emulator. It does not emulate GBA games.
