In Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, the Eye for Decay's visual effects are not rendered when the Eye is worn. It should cause breakable walls to be highlighted in green, but no effect is visible. Problem occurs with both OpenGL and SoftRasterizer. (The Eye For Decay is an item occasionally dropped by a Peeping Eye.)

please post a savestate or savefile where this can be observed. or make sure you've got edge marking enabled and are using rasterizer.
My apologies. I've been trying for over an hour to attach a save state file, but SourceForge just gives me a blank page when I submit the Attach File form. So I've placed it at http://craigpell.users.sourceforge.net/0735%20-%20Castlevania%20-%20Portrait%20of%20Ruin%20\(U).ds0 instead.
The wall to the left of Jonathan is breakable, but it appears no different from any other wall.
Edge marking was enabled. All the checkboxes in the 3D Settings dialog were, in fact. And as before, the problem occurs with both OpenGL and SoftRasterizer.
For what it's worth, I did a bit of searching and found that the effect of the Eye can be seen at 2:26 in the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSzmYaGVawU . So I guess I was misinformed about it being a green highlight. It's more like a ripple of concentric semicircles.
this has been fixed in recent svn revisions since 0.9.7 via a set of hacks which may get removed one day and replaced with more correct emulation.
