I'm guessing that the Ini file setting InitialBDelay is related to BDelay. Does DScaler not set BDelay and ADelay when switching between PAL and NTSC? > > Only thing I'm sure is that we've got a single BDelay value in the ini file so I don't think we do anything specific to each video format. The BDelay (ini parameter InitialBDelay) is different if you choose to save settings by TV format : 92 for NTSC, 114 for PAL and 176 for SECAM. > > The other thing is to do with Black and White levels, I wonder if the FullLuma setting should be switched on, with it switched off it seems to me if some of the black level is lost. Is this changing the luma boundary ? (modifies the whitest white we can get as well as the blackest black) ?? Michel, a person from the french forum, has made a lot of tests, analyzing test patterns, with and without full luma range. He concluded the result is exactly the same if you activate the full luma range and add 16 to brightness. Same black and same white. Personally, I make tests only for Pal, but I have the same conclusion. So, I think we can advice to check full luma range (which is the default in DScaler) and adjust correctly brightness. Concerning ADelay, this parameter is not in ini file. Don't know the value used and if the value changes with TV format. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurent lau...@cl... |
