Du to this problem, SHA1 imports doesn't work when we want to update FreeDNS.afraid.org domains by example. I've done a temporary working modification by removing the "1" number in the imports of the function "load_sha1_support". However, this modification cause the script to output invalid errors; all my domains were successfully updated when I changed your source code.

You can refer to this page to see more about the change done to the perl-base package under ubuntu 12.04: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libdigest-sha1-perl/+bug/993648

Thanks!
Dave

This problem seems to be a ubuntu problem, not a general problem. I think you better report this issue to the package manager. And sorry for letting you wait this long for an answer. Ddclient has been using trac for a while and I didn't watched this forum.
