Do you have an URL where you found the info about deprecation an dswitch to dnsomatic? I think we should change the default on ddclient if that's the case.
Can you provide a patch against the latest version on github? It will even be faster implemented if you send it as a pull request. I currently don't have mucht time to spent on ddclient and a pull request on github goes fast.
As far as I know, nsupdate is only supported by the latest version on github. This commit added the support: https://github.com/ddclient/ddclient/commit/9a859c3341125ce092a9e40d7d06547b59c2a7b1 You can fetch the latest version from https://github.com/ddclient/ddclient
Hi, Thanks for letting us know. Does your password work on http://dashboard.opendns.com/ as mentioned in https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/220039927/comments/224649867? If it works on the dashboard we should escape the password when using it to login. I'll try to find out what extra we can do.
You should try again with your cache file removed and post the complete output of ddclient -daemon=0 -noquiet -debug -verbose to pastebin and leave a link here. Are you sure you use '@' in the configuration of namecheap? I've never used their service but it looks like ddclient tries to update the host called @.donachicatapiocaria.com.br while it should be '@.donachicatapiocaria.com.br'. I understand this confusing because the bind configuration will use @ as reference to donachicatapiocaria.com.br...
Some distrubutions add a 'daemon' setting when starting and change the time. Specifying the time in the config file should just work. You can try to run ddclient -verbose -debug -noquiet to see what's going on and where the option gets overwritten.
Which version of ddclient are you using? Google domains has been added in r171
The only sign of opendns I can find in ddclient is located in patches/opendns which is an non-applied patch for opendns. The patch makes ddclient use https://updates.opendns.com/account/ddns.php?system= as URL The patch isn't generally usable so that's why it is not applied to ddclient.
