It was black for me, but then I reexported it from my computer, and the colors reappeared. It looks nice, I like the blue eyes, but I kinda liked the dark blue of the body before...it's a little dark. Try this one: http://davinci.sourceforge.net/logo/davinci-spider-black.png (In case you're wondering, I'm uploading these things to logo/ because I don't have write permission to images/) As for the font...do you know if we can use it in a logo? Are we referring to the eyes of the logo, so they go black on some monitors? I worked out why that it, its to do with the brightness setting of your monitor, if I reduce mine the whole thing goes black but if I increase it it is dark blue. [Yet] Another new logo here: http://davinci.sourceforge.net/images/davinci-spider-black.png This one is almos identical to my previous one but i changed the colors. Maybe you'll love it, maybe you'll hate it. In any case i expect your comments. I have uploaded a few images that i think would make a good logo. I made them from scratch so there won't be any copyright problem (unless SCO claims they own spiders). Ok. Here they are: http://davinci.sourceforge.net/images/ There's the source code there too (yes, source code) so you can edit them. I made them in Sodipodi and you migh need it too to edit the SVG's. If you want i can convert them to plain SVG so you can edit them anywhere (i don't know if any info will be lost, i think it won't). I haven't uploaded any doc yet, i though this was more important (???) but i'll fire Lyx now. Elio "Programming Guru" Cuevas Gómez. |

I think it's about a buffer overflow problem, StrCat tries to write somewhere it shouldn't be writing. I already god rid of StrCat but things are still broken... Anyway, my GDB problem was because i was using Kernel 2.6.3 and GDB 5.3. Updating GDB to 6.0 solved the problem. Well, GDB doesn't quite work allright, i have to restart it each time i "run", but i guess it's better than nothing. Tj Morton wrote: >Hi Elio, > > >>>Is GDB working for you?? Looks like we have been all busy, i just have time to write some ugly plugin things that Taj kindly corrected ;). Don't worry if you don't have enough time, DaVinci should be fun to do, we are not creating a company or something. I got some time now, i'm very interested in getting the Plugin system working (in all platforms), so we can start with the other stuff. Looks like you want to monopolize the Windows port ;). I'm already optimizing my XP box to work on it, but i'm going to focus in Linux (and maybe FreeBSD). Lazarus is not very mature in Windows right now, so that can be a big problem. However, DaVinci should be written in a way that it's portable, that's something that can give us success (Mozilla, OO.o). Ok, now it's time to code. --Elio Paul Hampson wrote: >Hi, > >Due to current workloads and pressures that we have to endure as A-Level >students (16 to 18 education here). I am not sure whether this is done automatically or if we would have to redirect calls to the plugin. All our front end has to do is call the 3 or so functions/procedures that have been defined here. We also need some "failure" codes when calling "start" and "stop". These need to be standard throughout plugins so we can have a set of error boxes that give the user and developer of plugins something useful to debug with, maybe a verbose debug mode could be implemented? -- Paul --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Hello Everybody, If you're subscribed to davinci-cvs, then you've probably gotten some mail about commits. Basically, it's an implementation of http://www.freepascal.org/docs-html/prog/progse45.html, modded for DV, of course. In the commit, I said that it needed to be cleaned up. Now I'm no so sure about that :S. Basically, when a plugin is started, start is called. It's up to the plugin to decide what to do. (E.g., SetupGUI, etc). A function needs to provice: * start * stop * info start sets up the GUI, etc. stop destroys its GUI parts info returns information (Author, Description, Version, etc) If we only need to call those three functions, then do we really need to implement some special way to access any exported function in a plugin? Me think not... Let me know. -- Taj "Never memorize something that you can look up." --Albert Einstein |

I needed to put libdefaultplugin.so in /usr/lib. Have to think of a workaround. -- Taj "Never memorize something that you can look up." --Albert Einstein |
