Ah thank you, I'm unsure how I misread the manpage however yes that is the correct option to use. e.g. dar -x backup_20200328 -R . -g Books/ -w -Oignore-owner (Note: I had to use "-Oignore-owner" as otherwise I'd get an error; "Parse error: Given user target(s) could not be found: ignore-owner") In any event, thank you for assisting with this simple issue, stay healthy & have a fantastic rest of the week!
