I have been playing with the udar extfs module for midnight commander to
better support symbolic links. To do this I need to issue an "ls -l ..."
command on the full path name of the link. Dar seems only to store the file
paths relative to the "--fs-root" parameter. I have tried to find this by
listing the archive but with no success. So, given an arbitrary archive, is
it possible to determine where it originally came from? I my case I always
backup using "-R /" so I know the fs-root but it is not a complete solution.
TIA
