Summary: How could I enable symbol assignment when I build cscope?

I have seen a useful function -- symbol assignment search on Fedora Core 5 & 6. I have tried to build cscope on Solaris but I could not open it. How can I enable this feature?

It's not a question of "enabling" the feature, but of implementing it. 
This feature is not in this version of cscope.  There's a patch to
implement sitting in the patches tracker, IIRC.  Or you could just take the
actual source package from FC and use that.
