My tolerance of spam has just about reached its limit again, and I want to run some of the crap I've received lately through spamcom (www.spamcop.net). Thing is, to effectively report the spam, I need to be able to cut and paste the headers of the email into the website. I can 'view header' or 'view source' - but cut or copy don't work in either of these windows. Can they be made to work? Come to think of it, why can't copy work anywhere, like the preview screen. It is a pain having to 'edit' an incoming message in order to be able to copy some of its content... How's v2 coming? Just a thought about the development of v2.0 - could it include the option to use a GnomeCard file for an address book? I've just installed a fax program that does this, and so I'm gradually building up a useful GnomeCard database. It seems a shame to keep email addresses separately... What do other people think? But now it is worse! I'm getting the same messages downloaded every time I connect to my mail server. I delete them all, and the next time I receive messages I get them in my inbox all over again. Is there something else I can try, or is 1.9.x on the way enough for me to just sit tight and wait? Thanks. I dealt with it by renaming the .rc file and then going through setup again. It's fine now. Thanks to all. In .cscmailrc I've got: PixmapDir: /usr/lib/cscmail/pixmaps/pro .. which is fine for 1.6.1 but that's not where the extra pixmaps for 1.7.x have been installed. I think that nails it. Somehow I needed to update my .cscmailrc file before running 1.7.x (or deleting it, presumably, and asking cscmail to re-create it?). Thanks, Red, but I'm no closer a solution. There are pixmaps called earlier than the new message pixmap, and they don't provoke an error. And they're all in the same directory, which is identified correctly by the $prefs{'PixmapDir'} call. I'm baffled. Please help! I downloaded 1.7.9 from sourceforge, and unpacked it. I thought I followed the instructions in the documents, but now I can't run it at all. I get: pixmap is not of type Gtk::Gdk::Pixmap at /usr/local/bin/cscmail line 5067 when it runs, and then the window closes. If I comment out that line, I get similar messages about other pixmaps elsewhere in the code. Have I not got the right widget set installed? 1.6.1 worked OK. Thanks, Nick |

Yes, there are some changes. The table has some additional fields. But actually I dont know what exactly changed. I either dont know wether it is discribed in the 1.7.x-Readmes and if the migration-scripts work. I think its best to read the readmes about the migration and to make a backup of your data (exporting). Or to wait for a hint from CZ. Daniel > Thanks Daniel. I'm getting a lot of message left on the server for some reason, in 1.6.1 - is this a known problem with the software or something related to my configuration settings? Now when I send&receive, there are 37 messages on the server, none of which don't actually get downloaded, in addition to any new ones. Each time I check the server, that number increases slightly. The new messages each time do get pulled down, but clearly some of them are staying up on the server ready to be found again next time. I know that's the nature of the problem, since I can boot back into WIndows and use Outlook to retrieve them. They're all messages I've seen before, and the next time I run CSCMail the number of available messages is back to 0 or 1 again. Any ideas? Nick |
