Pressing the CTRL key during page navigation will force Comix to step only one page even in double page mode.
Your mileage with CTRL might vary (it might already act as special key for your WM), so changing it to ALT or SHIFT in event.py might be necessary.

From feature request #3002072, Hotkey to move by one page, not two, in Double page mode.
