Search results

Search results

Search results are displayed on the bottom right area of the main window. After the search query has been executed all files containing matches are listed here. Additionally some statistics like the number of files, matching the search query, and the total number of matches are displayed at the header of the search results area.

Since version 0.9.0.9 the search results pane is tabbed. You can add an arbitrary number of search result tabs by clicking on the "+" button on the last tab. For each tab, you can set the index, the search term and all other search settings independently. This allows you to maintain multiple different search result sets. Browsing a matching file

In order to browse a file containing matches, click on the eye icon left to the file entry. The file will be opened in the [File viewer] area in a new tab, and all matches will be highlighted in the file.
Alternatively double-click the file entry.

Match quick list

A list of match fragments can be opened for each file, by using the corresponding expander button of each file entry. The word matching the search query is highlighted in each fragment.

When clicking the eye-icon on the left of each match entry or by double-clicking the match entry, you can open the file containing the match and jump to it.

Navigating to file in the index file list

In order to navigate to a file containing matches in the index file list, click on the right arrow icon, left to the corresponding file entry. This will select the corresponding file in the index file list in the search area.

Adding file directory of matching file to directory filter list

In order to add the folder of a matching file is located in to the directory filter list, click on the funnel icon left to the corresponding file entry. The directory of the fill will be added to the directory filter list in the search area.

File actions

Additional file actions can be executed by right clicking a matching file item. A context menu will appear containing all actions, which can be performed on the corresponding file.
