#426 Crash on trying to run codeblocks headless in xvfb
Steps to reproduce:
Xvfb :1 -screen 0 1280x768x24 DISPLAY=:1 codeblocks --build -ns -nc --no-log my_workspace.workspace --target=All_Linux
This launches and begins to execute:

Do you have other wx applicaitons that work correctly in this X server?
No - this is a headless server running only XVFB, it's not normally used for any graphical applications. If you have something else lightweight you can recommend for me to test with, I'd be happy to.
Running codeblocks executable will pop up a build dialog. The real solution is to update C::B to support a headless build batch option. See ticket 1197 for headless mode request
Riot has not supplied or done any more testing since 2016 on this, so I think this can be closed as ticket 1197 will resolve this once completed.
Yes, I raised this in 2016 - 6 years ago - are you saying it's invalid because of that? I've seen a drive to close a lot of tickets here on that basis, but speaking frankly, it's bullshit. In the last few weeks a lot of tickets I opened 7 or 8 years ago got closed - fine - but if you're saying the solution to this issue is an experimental headless mode branch, then it's no good - sorry. Is there a bounty that you guys are getting paid to close these tickets? If so, it's kind of crappy. Certainly closing it on the basis of an entirely un-started request is not a good solution.

If you cannot answer this then do not expect devs who have limited time to spend allot of time to setup your config and test it.
As for your attitude it will get you no where. Devs are not paid. You have access to the source and should use some of your time to fix things you find and correctly submit a patch so it can be looked at.

The crash in CompilerMessages::FitColumns() is because the GUI exists partially. If this is still an issue the solution may be similar to [r12674].
