CMDBuild is the open source web environment for the configuration of custom applications for the Asset Management.

With CMDBuild you can build and extend your own CMDB, modeling it according to the needs of your Organization.

You can configure workflows, reports, dashboards, schedule operations and checks, manage documents, georeference your asset in maps or view them in 3D models. You can also interoperate with external solutions through webservices.

Or you can choose one of the standard vertical solutions, already configured: CMDBuild READY2USE and openMAINT.

  • I have taken almost 3 days to get the installation right for the CMDBuild Ready2use on Ubuntu Linux 20.04 The install manual is not that detailed or straight forward, especially the PostgreSQL, Java installations and tomcat. I had to read different documentations for me to get through to a successful installation. One should be an experienced Linux system adminstrator to figure out some of the pitfalls during installation. It will take me more of fresh installations to come up with an installation guide. I had to use guides from different part of the prerequisite software like Java, PostgreSQL and Apache Tomcat. I had to use the .war file to install from the tomcat interface. It is a very exciting software to use. I am happy to have made it through. I hope to come back another time with an installation guide to help others.
  • Impossible to install. No Docker images officially supported. No documentation on how to run on cloud service. Run away
  • We have been using v2.5 .1 for a while now and works great, so I was planning upgrading to 3.2.1, took me 5 days just to figure out how to install it, had to create a "shark" postgress user among other things to make it work, I did a clean install. Performance is terrible, takes up to 20 seconds just to open/view/edit a card. What a terrible upgrade for such a good tool, will be staying on 2.5.1 for a bit more. All recommended versions were installed, I suspect thats the reason of the bad performance, I will test on earlier versions before ditching it.

  • Very easy to use, very flexible by allowing us to create new classes (tables). It would be nice if the developers were more active in answering questions in the forums.
  • It’s really very informative that I wanted ever, thanks for this. view the FusionHQ 2.0 review: watch?v=GuR30uw-6Cg
