Installed Clonezilla on Ubuntu 18.04.3. When I select the local_dev, I get the following error:

    The system has 2 internal drives. I attached 2 external USB3 drives. One had the Clonezilla directory with the saved partimgs. The drives appeared correctly after scanning. At the prompt I selected the drive/directory with the images. That's when the error occurred.

    The screen flashed as the error repeated (the bash script was in a loop). and the following error rolled rapidly in syslog:

    What I want is, how did you start the process? Using "ocs-sr" command or "dcs"? What were the steps you have chosen?

    Ok. In a terminal:

    1) sudo apt-get update
    2) sudo apt-get install clonezilla
    3) sudo clonezilla
    4) device-image work with disks or partitions using images
    5) local_dv Use local device
    6) Press enter to continue
    7) All drives were then displayed correctly
    8) Press Ctrl-C to exit the Window
    9) Select the disk/directory with the Clonezilla images
    10) Errors ensue

    No, you have to follow this to setup and configure the DRBL system:

    Both "drblsrv -i" and "drblpush -i" have to be run.

    I guess I misunderstood. I thought that I could just install Clonezilla and run it locally instead of using a Live USB.

    If your purpose is to use it like Clonezilla live, then at least you have to run "drblsrv -i" as root the install the required packages. You should mention your purpose in the beginning...
