Hello everyone, I'm having a weird crash in CLISP for Windows while using the cl-glut package. In my CLISP+Quicklisp installation the example cl-glut-examples:rb-double runs correctly (i.e. opens a window and draws a rotating square) for about 1 second, then a fault is reported on the REPL console, then lisp.exe crashes. This is the usual output I get in the REPL: ------------------------------------- [1]> (ql:quickload :cl-glut-examples) To load "cl-glut-examples": Load 1 ASDF system: cl-glut-examples ; Loading "cl-glut-examples" ......... (:CL-GLUT-EXAMPLES) [2]> (cl-glut-examples:rb-double) *** - handle_fault error2 ! address = 0x0 not in [0x19a90000,0x19f33130) ! SIGSEGV cannot be cured. Fault address = 0x0. Free space: 4 bytes. ------------------------------------- This problem does *not* happen on the same machine using SBCL or Clozure CL, and does *not* happen on the same CLISP version using another Windows XP machine I could find from a friend. In other words, all combinations work properly, except mine :( . This is my configuration: ------------------------------------- My CLISP is GNU CLISP 2.49 (2010-07-07), downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/clisp/files/latest/download My Quicklisp is Quicklisp Beta version 2012112500 dowloaded from http://beta.quicklisp.org/quicklisp.lisp My machine configuration is: - Windows 7 Home 64bit - video card ATI Radeon 5650 - freeglut DLL v.2.8.1 build for MinGW 32bit, downloaded from http://www.transmissionzero.co.uk/software/freeglut-devel/ ------------------------------------- My questions are: 1) did someone experience a similar problem on a machine with similar configuration? 2) is there some command or flag I could enable in the REPL for a better diagnosys? 3) I know CLISP can be compiled with a --with-debug flag, but (due to my limited ability with MinGW+configure+make) I wasn't able to compile it on MinGW. Do you know of any available binaries precompiled with --with-debug for Windows? Or alternatively: if you have them, would you mind to share them for a test? Sincerely thanks for any help or advice you can provide, kindest regards. Andrea |
