What should (setf (file-size "nonexistent") 10) do? (for nonexistent file "nonexistent"). it can either signal an error (like truncate(2) does) or create the file. I prefer useful behavior to an error, so unless I hear strong opposing opinions, I will implement the latter behavior. |
