The Cyberinfrastructure Shell (CIShell) is an open source software framework for the integration and utilization of datasets, algorithms, tools, and computing resources. The software and specification is released under an Apache 2.0 License.

This release adds better Mac OSX (x86) support, much improved visualizations, and bug fixes.

The Cyberinfrastructure Shell (CIShell) is an open source, community-driven specification for the integration and utilization of datasets, algorithms, tools, and computing resources. The software and specification is released under an Apache 2.0 License.

This release adds some new features, displaying of algorithm meta-data (for giving credit to algorithm writers and those involved among other uses), and bug fixes. At this stage the Cyberinfrastructure Shell is definitely usable. We hope to have an algorithm integration guide up soon.... read more

CIShell 0.1.0 alpha has been released! There are many features integrated, but more are on their way. This software is released as alpha software mainly intended for algorithm integrators to test their algorithms. There are no useful algorithms included in this release, it is simply an empty shell. On October 16th, 2006 we will have several algorithms available for download to evaluate the merit of CIShell. On October 30th, 2006 we will have a full release.

A preview version of CIShell has been released! This is a preview release and is only intended for algorithm developers to start working on integrating algorithms. A full release is planned for the beginning of October 2006 with a brand new GUI, sample algorithms, greater robustness, and more!

We are hard at work separating CIShell from IVC, but it may be a while. Until then, go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/ivc to download IVC. The IVC Minimal install basically corresponds to what CIShell will be.
