The Cyberinfrastructure Shell (CIShell) is an open source, community-driven specification for the integration and utilization of datasets, algorithms, tools, and computing resources. The software and specification is released under an Apache 2.0 License.
This release adds some new features, displaying of algorithm meta-data (for giving credit to algorithm writers and those involved among other uses), and bug fixes. At this stage the Cyberinfrastructure Shell is definitely usable. We hope to have an algorithm integration guide up soon.
There is now a project using the CIShell application as its back end, called the Network Workbench at http://nwb.slis.indiana.edu . They have a release today that is based on this release. It brands the GUI and adds its own set of custom algorithms. Have a look!
Another new addition is the NWB Community Wiki, where anyone can add or suggest new algorithms for CIShell and Network Workbench. It is located at https://nwb.slis.indiana.edu/community
