yes, there are improvements but not visible on the users point of
view. mainly dealing with how the buddy is searched. it should be much
faster now. the cvs tree at sourceforge.net is currently not synced
with my local cvs tree. ill do this when i have more time. the only
feature that i know of thats missing is MMS.

no standalone GUI at this point. there was more than a year ago when
chix was a standalone app using ncurses before it became a library. if
you or someone would like to do a GUI using GTK+, QT, or even EFL
(very pretty :) please feel free to do so. i would definitely include
it in the main tree.
