For example, with the documentation being out of date: I would say that the Windows documentation is just as out of date. The thing is that Windows users rarely care about documentation, in my experience. However, a checklist would force *all versions* to conform to the same checklist, which would be a good thing. But all in all, these RPM guys are fighting over technicalities of a format that's different in all RPM-based distros. This is why I stopped supporting all Linux distributions that are derivatived of RedHat. It's not well documented and strict like Debian's dpkg. After I'm done with GTK I'll create an apt repository for all the Debian guys --Pat |
