#20 Discovering genisoimage and wodim

It seems that neither wodim nor genisoimage Debian packages come with symbolic links named cdrecord and mkisofs (I guess that this is true for packages in other distributions as well). Since cdw searches only for cdrecord and mkisofs (and not for wodim + genisoimage), then the tools may not be discovered by cdw, even though they are installed in user's system.

One solution is to create symbolic links to wodim and genisoimage, called cdrecord and mkisofs, and put the symlinks in a directory contained in PATH. This is a tested solution that works well.

This bug has been raised by an anonymous user (from Italy?), that I know only by his e-mail.

I'm working on a solution to this problem - cdw will be able to detect wodim and genisoimage without any need for workarounds. The solution will be available in cdw 0.8.0.

cdw 0.7.1 published today has this issue solved. I'm closing this bug.
