I found a way to fix some (if not all) dtcm/rpc.cmsd issues
On debian you run:
sudo apt-get install openbsd-inetd
On OpenSUSE you run:
zypper in yast2-inetd
(Note I haven't tested the openSUSE fix but I am almost certain that it
does fix it)
