Hi, First, I'm not sure it's the right place to ask about ccHost customization, but here it is (it it's not, stop reading and just tell me where to look for help about it :) I'm customizing a ccHost install (3.0.2) for Overmundo (already a brazilian CC partner), got everything working, new templates, some S & R to find untranslated strings, a few changes to use another User table, some login customization, bla bla bla. But now i'm stuck in a apparently simple task: setting up the Sample pools feature. It looks like i'm looking in the wrong way, cause all the other stuff was pretty simple to set up... That's how i'm doing: - adding the pool in admin: http://ccmixter.org/media/api [it says 'invalid path' when accessed by the browser... ], and i tried with other pools , in my own computer; - checking the url: http://mysite/media/view/media/samples/ i thought this url should show the pools, something like http://ccmixter.org/media/view/media/samples/ Is it something totally customized for ccmixter website ? do I have to enable/change something in the admin options to make it work ? do i must change some URLmapping in the code ? i got a little bit lost here, sorry. anyway, i also tried a different thing, setting up two fresh cchost 3.1 installs on my machine, with different aliases in apache. both were showing the api /info ok, but one could not see the other, and logged an error in apache: FATAL: erealloc(): Unable to allocate 207 bytes I'm using PHP/5.1.6 Apache/1.3.33 (Win32) PHP/5.1.6 Mysql 5 Any help about setting up sample pools and/or the error in apache woudl be great. now, that's a suggestion: i've seen in a few apps setting up a variable that holds the user table, instead of using the actual table name and columns in queries. I think this alone would increase ccHost adoption, where people could just add a few fields to their Users table, telling ccHost which column to use for 'real name' , 'email' , etc, and start sending remixes and samples. I'd love to help in the task, but those direct calls are spread all over the ccHost core, it's not so trivial for those outside the development of this tool. great code, btw :] learnt a lot there. spark -- [web] http://synapsisdi.com.br [livesets] http://djspark.com.br/mp3 |
