Thanks man! Sorry for missing your email until now...the cc-devel mailing list is the best way to get full attention from ccHost developers: http://developers.creativecommons.org/ > I was wondering where in the files the home.xml document is being > called to display, I would like to try and randomize it with php. > (ex, home.xml, home2.xml, home.xml, etc...) That would be an awesome capability. Basically, this is setup in the navigator tabs which can be changed via the Manage Site administration interface. There is actually a couple of ways to do this: change the php code to add a random page selection function to the FUNCTIONS possible for menu items (http://YOUR_INSTALLATION/media/admin/tabs/media/edit, add this randomize content to the phptal template file like home.xml (you can do basic coding inside these...do a search for phptal on the web) or the best, make a phptal macro and add it to misc.xml in the PATH_TO_CCHOST/cctemplates and then call if from a file like home.xml. This would probably be the easiest way and most useful to other people. I know that the Open Clip Art Library will need a quick way to randomize the selection of thumbnails for the main page of the site, and I can see where this type of macro would be useful for selecting a random quote, or upload. This comes down to the type of random content you want: various random content on a page, or a random page. It would really be great to have both in the codebase. Would you still like to add these? I'm cc'ing the cctools-cchost list as others will have more to say about this undoubtedly...
