Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2498952 By: brlcad Hmm.. That's a very open-ended question. Sort of like asking how does one build a house or make a car. It's complicated to answer and you can take the question in many different directions. You effectively asked how to program, which isn't going to get you very far in terms of writing a patch for bzflag. Heck, if you're willing to just dive in and take a stab at it -- then pick up the source code, get it to build, grab one of the patches on sourceforge, apply it to the sourcecode, and get that to work as well. Try to make sure that you actually understand what it is you are doing each step of the way and you'll be on your way to learning how to write your own. If you can successfully apply and understand a handful of the patches, it should slowly help you in your venture. As for a forum -- if it's bzflag specific, feel free to drop by the #bzflag irc channel on irc.freenode.net for assistance. If it's just general programming-related, there are hundreds and hundreds of places that will help you out. I suggest googling for some tutorials. Cheers and good luck! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
